Job Title: Carpet Care Provider
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, completion of ACS training program. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English to communicate with clients and co-workers. Driver’s license/reliable transportation required. Smartphone required. Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
What are Carpet Care Providers expected to do?
Carpet Care Providers operate vacuums and carpet shampooing/extractor equipment, mix chemicals as required for shampooing carpets or furniture, and properly clean and maintain equipment following use. NOTE: All Environmental/Carpet Care technicians shall be trained in the performance of 2 or more areas such as carpet cleaning, commercial, or residential cleaning. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities for Carpet Care Providers:
Cleans carpets/furniture with chemical solutions on customers’ premises, using hand brushes, and determining washing method according to condition of carpet/furniture.
Vacuums carpets/furniture to remove loose dirt.
Sprays carpet/furniture with cleaning solution.
Removes excess suds water from carpet/furniture during scrubbing operation using extractor.
Identifies persistent stains and selects spotting agent to remove stain according to type of fiber, dye, and stain.
Rubs chemical solution into carpet/furniture with hand brush until stain disappears.
Rinses carpet/furniture using extractor to remove excess water.
Removes water and chemicals from carpet extractor machine and cleans, replacing hoses and cords to proper storage positions.
May help load and unload equipment for transportation to and from customer’s location.
Anticipated Scheduling
Monday through Friday:
Start times range from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the shift lasting between 1-8 hours total.
Saturday and Sunday:
NOT A TYPICAL WORKING DAY, BUT OCCASIONALLY WILL HAVE WORK.
Start times range from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the shift lasting between 1-3 hours total.
Rate of Pay
The rate of pay for all ACS positions is determined at your interview. All ACS team member new hires shall be paid at least $14.00/per hour, with an increase after satisfactory completion of the ACS training program and positive work performance. We value our employees and try to compensate in a manner that reflects that. Hiring pay can vary with experience. The average range of pay for our team members is currently between $16.00- $18.00 per hour.
